The Connubia story begins with Antonio Calligaris, who started his small artisanal business in 1923, producing the Marocca chair with wood from the Italian mountains and local straw.

In the 1960s, Calligaris began to grow into the world-recognised brand it is today and, in the 1990s, expanded its range by creating modern dining furniture and beautiful storage units in a mix of materials including wood, metal and glass.
