Generations of expertise go into the hand crafting of every Hypnos bed, so it’s no wonder they have been awarded the prestigious Royal Warrant. From the hand side-stitching and tufting of the mattresses to the high-quality joinery in the bed frame making and the stitching of the individual pockets for the springs, every bed that comes out of the Hypnos factory in Buckinghamshire is made with great care and attention to every detail.

Only the best materials are chosen for the mattress fillings, such as British wool, cashmere and silk. Hypnos combine traditional skills with innovative manufacturing processes, and are the first bed maker in the UK to be able to call their production processes completely carbon neutral.

What you need to know

Mattress type: Pocket spring.
Depth: 25 cm.
Firmness: Firm.
Springs: 1,000 ReActive™ 6-turn pocket springs in king size.

Fillings: British certified wool, eOlus™ recycled comfort fibres.
Cover: Cotton, flax.
Requires turning: No.
Base type: Platform top with optional storage drawers. Not all drawer options are available in all sizes.
Sizes: Single, small double, double, king, super king.
Mattress care: Air for 4 hours before using to remove any odour. Allow at least 4 hours for springs to settle and for mattress to attain its full size. Indentations caused by settlement of fillings or body weight are normal and are not considered defects. If used on a slatted bed frame, the space between slats must be no wider than 7.5 cm. Spaces wider than this may cause excess dipping of the mattress and invalidate the guarantee. Always use a mattress protector. Rotate regularly.
Divan base care: Clean upholstery weekly using a soft brush or vacuum with the curtain attachment. Professional cleaning advised for oil- and grease-based stains. Some fabrics can show wear on areas of more use or in direct sunlight.
